Menu
To ensure the availability of chosen items, menus must be finalized no later than four (4) weeks prior to the event. Once finalized, there can be no changes to the menu or packages. Also at this time floor plans and table set up will be finalized estimating your final count. There is no guarantee with one entree dinners. If you choose to go with a one entree, the amount of confirmed people called in will be the amount of meat proportions prepared. All food and beverages, alcoholic and nonalcoholic, must be purchased through The Skyroom, with the exception of special event cakes. We do not allow left over food purchased from the Skyroom to be taken home. If your event has a cake we will cut and personal serve the cake and it is included with your event.
The Room
There is no room charge and no minimum fee for the use of our room with an purchase of a meal entree. All dinner events booked on a Friday or Sunday receive a 10% discount on food with a minimum of 100 people. The set up and take down of your event is included. We will also set up your items, e.i. favors, champagne glasses, arranged seating cards, and anything else you would like to do to personalize your event at no additional charge.
Guarantee
A guaranteed attendance is due seven (7) days prior to the event. The guaranteed count will be the minimum used for your event. We book all parties from 40 to 350 people, minimum requirements of people in certain months of year. This is at the discretion of the Banquet Director. For the discounts on children you must have the requirement of 40 adults. Children 0-5 are free and children 6-12 are half off, you are allowed up to a maximum of 20 total discounted. We set for the exact amount of seating you confirm with. If extra seating is needed you will be charged per seat.
Decorations
Our 25 different colored napkins and linen are included with your event. All chair covers and/or chair sashes must be ordered through us directly. We also include the use of our glass candle centerpeices and they can be personalized for your event. We decorate the Head Table and Cake Table. Here at The Skyroom we do not allow any confetti, ignitable favors (meaning sparklers), and/or anything that will permanently damage our facility. Decorations are allowed, but cannot interrupt the decorations already placed by The Skyroom. These rules are at our discretion and any additional decorating must be approved by the banquet director before being placed.
Deposit
For Friday and Saturday events the deposit is $750.00. Sunday through Thursday the deposit is $100.00. The deposit is applied to your bill at the end of the event. The deposit is non-refundable, if your event is cancelled, you will lose your deposit, there are no exceptions. Michigan law states that a retainer given to secure a time, service, or product is not refundable. Retainers are used to purchase products or cover labor and time involved in preparing for an event, regardless of whether or not the event takes place.
Liability
Liability for any damage to the premises will be the responsibility of and charged to the sponsoring organizations or person. The party in charge of the function is responsible for the conduct of all who attend. The Skyroom will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on the premises prior to or following the event or events. Any extensive damage or cleaning to the property will be billed to the sponsoring organization or person(s) in charge.
Parking
All parking at the Skyroom is validated for your guests.
Entertainment
Musicians, photographers, DJs, limousine, or Taxi services, etc., must be booked by the client and will solely be their responsibility. Also if you would like them to eat, then they must be included in your count. All event functions must end by 12:00 midnight and the premises are to be vacated by no later than 12:30 a.m.
Payment and Collection Costs
The balance of the bill will be due and collected the week of the event. Check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, American Express, or cash is acceptable. In the event that any amount due to The Skyroom, its agents or employees must be collected through and attorney, then all costs of collection (including any fees) shall be paid by the patron. A late fee of 5% per month will be imposed upon all amounts after thirty(30) day period.
Security
Security is needed by law for all events after 9 pm. You will be charged $100.00 to every hundred and seventy-five persons.

The Skyroom is a full service Banquet Facility located at MBS International Airport in Freeland, Michigan. We are in the center of Bay City, Saginaw, and Midland, Michigan.
